Why SRK is important ..

Why SRK is important before I get on to it,  I would like to know why SRK is important to me ? When I go back 27 years in my memory lane, and then there was only Doordarshan which was available as an entertainment and the first youth oriented serial watched was  Fauj,i who could forget that unknown , SRK at the time , would make  a huge impact on the aspiring young and youth audience ,  his hunger for success  his charming dimple oriented smiles. Who can forget that and then this guy from New Delhi , few years later would do in Big Cinemas theatres. Wow it was an amazing  Ascend of a ‘friend’ from a person who don't have any film background or so called  Godfather  , with all his hardwork and passion  now a Bollywood hero. It was not an accident of aspiration , it was an inspiration for  Indian youth that looked who but Bollywood star like Shahrukh Khan .That was amazing, I remember How a  movie like Baazigar the song ‘Ye Kali Kali Aankhen’ become the symbol of a guy wanting to comment a girl ,  and that still  makes me nostalgic. SRK when I use to get upset and when I saw your movie  Baazigar and your famous dialogue with yoru signature style ‘ Haar ke jeetney  wala Baazigar Hota Hai’.  Those kind of impact that you had made at that time on the youth .  I'm sure your journey from that point of time has always on higher side you made sure that  hard  work , passion for the films even you look like a Bangladeshi worker but you had Charisma,  sorry Bangladeshi worker comparison is not mine you can search Google and find that , it was said by one of the famous Hollywood Producer , but he didnt added that it was Indian Peoples love for your work , We are very emotional Mr Khan .

Now after 20 years of a continuous and tremendous success and journey  Shahrukh Khan to King Khan the king of Bollywood,  you are still an inspiration for lot of people in India. basic You are always  a very family man and  make sure that you will stable relationships  from child  to a person of  my father's age .All people like even recognise you gradually you have achieved the status of an Invincible in Bollywood,  Films like ‘Happy New Year’, ‘OM Shanti OM’ , ‘Rab ne Banadi Jodi’   which actually have no content but could still make club of  crores just because of your presence . Else who would like to believe that just putting removing a mustache  and making shape of hairs and the actress would not even recognize you . You see you make us fool but we all accept in your love. When you did something at Wankhede , your Fans still supported you . In it as a human being you must have thought this means whatever you say whatever you do the people still like you, can  still put money on you.

You rightly said Shahrukh Khan Dilwale is not just mine , and there are so many people involved in it,  that so many lives are associated with this movie. Mr Khan movies your movies make money because you are still able to touch and connect to Indians, because of your offscreen works as well ,  thus you are still able to make lot of money.

Mr Khan Dilwale would surely be judged  purely on its merits now for the and after a huge gap of time , the presence of Shahrukh Khan in the movie is just like another actor . This movie may not recover its cost for the first week as all your movies do ,  you must have felt its only few people belong to a particular political party, or particular community is against you.It's not the case Indians have already always loved you for even your good or bad movies but when you say the Indians are becoming intolerant, Dil Pe to chot Lagegi hi . Shahrukh Khan I must tell you the people in India are crazy for the stars especially Bollywood and cricket so if you say anything , they would either disagree or agree with you and that's how it will work so when somebody disagree with you he has full right because you also didn't agree with them. We will still see you in Raess ‘ Baniye ka Dimaag and Miyan Bhai ki Darring’

MY EXPERIENCE WITH AMERICAN FILM MARKET

I was excited to be the part  of this event to see the international approach of the people , film makers and people who are associated with the same .

During the meet there was lot of people who were looking for the various projects and looking to get the fund for the same . Pitch conference was good as that opened to the audience and it allows 2 minutes to them to pitch their project and the expert can form their opinion on the same .

Quiet a few people pitched their projects and the audience was able to find what they should not do and what they should , but one thing is clear , who wants to get the project financed have to get it right on script in 2 minutes , I believe it has to use less words and finish it before 59 seconds . Entince them balance time for them to ask questions, because they would be engaged. And yes by that I certainly don’t mean that your script should go out of their head . It has to be crisp . While It should start with Genre which should clearly be mentioned to start with. Second point is getting to the Plot fast and establish character in next 30 seconds . Practise that pitch alone  , or with your closed , your story should not be on notes, it should be living in front of your eyes . You need somebody to be convinced to the thing which is not yet on the screen , in such a non –tangible selling , only few can succeed , its such a way

I enjoyed Thai Night and Thai food along with the Royal Princess attended, it was certainly an even which was good to hear what Thailand is doing to promote their film making to other parts of the world . Part of my experience was networking with the Budding Film Makers who might say oh they have made a script last night, well I don’t take them . Never do I think , about your script , should be confident on making the script happen.

Also there were budding actors, models, musician who were looking for some work in this arena . When you invest such amount of money it means you should be clear with whatever you want to do . If you just want to do networking make sure you do lot of them . Keep the ssperate database of such talent and keep showing your work to all of them , who knows who out of them are successful and looking for some value addition which you can do for them ,. See I would not say its all about Luck but its about action and hard work, more you do such a kind of hard work, more luckier you get

In my opinion the people should understand why don’t you make the pitch with Music , I have found this interesting way of script reading within me . I don’t keep just my verbal thing . but music should be complimentary and it should not affect your script

Goa Film  Bazaar and How a new aspiring producers and filmmakers can make  maximum benefit out of it ?

Every year NFDC organises its flagship event which is known as Film Bazaar and simultaneously it also organises India International film festival in which films from  over a hundred countries participate. This year Mr Rohit Gupta decided to join producers lab which is third season and he was also given the delegate pass to view the movies  and attend Co production market ,  also talk to various industries delegates who are also the  filmmakers and also great artists, financiers, buyers, Distributors

The Producers Lab opened with the orientation programme in which the organisers informs about the mentors would be and how the whole process would go on.

This was a good experience because for Mr Gupta, the idea of the Producers lab was more practical , here in this case it was practical as they also shared their experiences and how we can utilise the experiences to get the maximum benefit out of it

Producers lab started at 10 o’clock today and continued till 6 o’clock .

Production lab allows the potential film makers who have the capacity and other projects have been selected for pitching so as a collaborator or co-producer you might look like to go producer and also you may like to find it so it totally depends upon the producer of the film is pitching the project and this is very professionally done they have been given 3 minutes per project while allowing the question answers from the audience in this year there were 19 projects that Work his operation lab who has clearly mention what level of funding it has already secured

For any new aspiring film maker NFDC has the website provides you the data of all the delegates producers ,buyers who were going to attend this program and that is very handy so before you are going to attend the meeting make sure you find out everything about your potential collaborators ,the Buyers, the seller, the distributors, technicians anything which maybe of your interest .Don’t send the spam emails find out who are going to be here , person who would be interested in you and then just start very customise email to them.

Start making the contacts before the event so that once you reach NFDC your meetings are already scheduled can do networking events in every planned way.  Mr Rohit ,got few emails regarding the proposed meeting , which allowed him  also to plan and prepare.

In general India is not very IT friendly in terms of filmmaking and have seen people just not responding your emails but that’s okay , mean not everybody might be suitable for your kind of work respond should be responded right away , that’s all the communication should work find out your common area of interest and let them know about it in various testing pitch .

Don’t waste any other time because we all are busy and particularly in the film making the first 5 or 6 words was the size of fate of your page pitch .

Meanwhile they were other knowledge series which were happening and was open to all the delegates and Mr Rohit Gupta got an opportunity to work with lot of people and industry specialist who have been there to showcase the movies and also exchange the ideas about how the Indian industry is progressing in filmmaking.

The screen writers lab also have the pitching and the potential screenwriters allowed to pitch a project to the Jurist and also the audience can see understand pitch while making sure that this project are interesting enough for the audience in general. Again the social networking kind of an event and this also love the screenwriters to co-ordinate with producers all characters or director

Networking and Cocktail Area

In the evening there used to be a lot of networking cocktails of organised by various film offices sponsors and the Government of India. Networking cocktails usually allow us to get more friendly and build most bridges .Most of us find this as easy way of networking my suggestion during this kind of networking is don’t push don’t start pitching your project right away as a potential collaborators may shy away because they are not interested as the whole day it’s a kind of pitching that has happened my suggestion is to build relationship . And once you have established relationship it becomes easier for you to connect later stage

The five day events ended the last day cocktail and sometimes sessions dance and fun I would definitely like to attend next year Goa film Bazaar as a delegate or the Mentor !
